The training is delivered in a practical format. We cover the construction and operation of the forklift, the operator’s responsibilities, health and safety rules, and the most common situations encountered during work.
The practical part covers preparing the equipment, manoeuvring, picking up and setting down loads, and correctly finishing the job. The scope of the course covers standard industrial forklift trucks - excluding reach trucks and those where the operator is lifted along with the load.

The UDT examination consists of a theoretical and a practical part.
In the theoretical part, the candidate completes a test and then carries out practical tasks on the equipment.
Upon passing the examination, the UDT issues a certificate of competence.
For the scope described on this page, the certificate is valid for 10 years.
