The 2-in-1 course covers training in operating the electric pallet truck (EPT) and the reach truck (side-loading forklift).

The programme focuses on preparing the operator practically for daily work in the warehouse, the safe transport of goods and carrying out manoeuvres in a confined work area.

The training is delivered by instructors with experience of working with warehouse equipment.

Theory part

During the training, the participant learns:

the construction and operating principle of reach trucks and EPTs,
the procedures for technical inspection of the devices before starting work,
the rules of safe operator work,
methods of transporting and storing goods,
the rules for moving through narrow warehouse aisles,
truck stability and the effect of the centre of gravity on work safety,
the safety procedures that apply in warehouses,
the operator’s duties before starting and after finishing work,
the most common hazards when operating the devices,
the exam requirements and theory topics.

Practical part

During the practical classes, the participant learns:

how to operate the reach truck,
how to operate the electric pallet truck (EPT),
how to manoeuvre with and without a load,
how to work in narrow warehouse aisles,
how to lift, transport and set down goods,
how to carry out high-bay storage operations,
how to keep stability when working with a load,
how to organise work safely in the warehouse,
how to improve driving technique and the precision of manoeuvres.

Exam

The training ends with:

a theory exam,
a practical exam.
