The course has been designed for people who want to gain operator qualifications for two types of truck during a single training.

The programme covers both topics related to work safety and practical exercises carried out in conditions close to daily warehouse work.


Theory part

During the training, the participant learns:

  • the construction and types of warehouse trucks,
  • the rules for the safe operation of reach trucks and EPTs,
  • the procedures for technical inspection before starting work,
  • the rules for transporting and storing loads,
  • the organisation of work in high-bay warehouses,
  • the rules for safe manoeuvring in narrow warehouse aisles,
  • working with loads at various heights,
  • the operator’s duties before starting and after finishing work,
  • the key safety rules when operating warehouse equipment.

Practical part

During the practical classes, the participant learns:

  • how to prepare the devices for work,
  • how to operate the reach truck,
  • how to operate the electric pallet truck (EPT),
  • how to transport and set down loads safely,
  • how to work at high-bay racking,
  • how to manoeuvre in a confined warehouse space,
  • how to carry out the operator’s daily tasks in line with the safety rules,
  • how to work smoothly and efficiently using both devices.

Exam

The training ends with:

  • a theory exam,
  • a practical exam.

The training is delivered over 1 day and includes:

  • a theory part
  • practical classes
  • a theory exam
  • a practical exam

  • at least 18 years of age
  • a valid ID card or passport
  • full physical and mental fitness
  • protective footwear required during the practical part

A driving licence is not accepted as an identity document.

The course ends with a theory and a practical exam. To obtain the certificate, the participant must pass both parts of the exam.

Initial requirements:

The participant must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid identity document, such as an ID card or passport.

Who is this training for?

The training is intended for people planning to work in warehouses, logistics centres and the transport sector who want to gain qualifications to operate a reach truck and an EPT.

Training goal

The aim of the course is to prepare the participant for the safe operation of an electric pallet truck and a high-bay truck in line with the work safety rules and employers’ requirements.
