The training covers a theory part and practical exercises preparing you for the daily work of a reach truck operator.

Participants learn the correct operation of the device, the safety rules and how to carry out transport operations in line with the procedures that apply in a warehouse environment.

Theory part

During the theory part, the participant learns:

the health and safety regulations and the rules of safe work in the warehouse,
the construction and characteristics of reach trucks,
the use of high-bay trucks in warehouse processes,
the operator’s duties before starting and after finishing work,
the rules for the safe loading, unloading and storage of goods,
the types of pallets and the basics of correct palletising,
the hazards during warehouse work and ways of avoiding them,
how to act in emergencies,
the rules of the daily technical inspection and operation of the truck.

Practical part

During the practical classes, the participant learns:

how to operate and drive the reach truck,
how to manoeuvre safely in narrow warehouse aisles,
how to work at high-bay racking,
how to lift, transport and set down loads,
how to correctly place pallets on and remove them from the racking,
how to work smoothly and efficiently using the reach truck.

Exam

The training ends with an exam covering:

a theory part checking knowledge of safety and truck operation,
a practical part involving carrying out operator tasks in line with the applicable safety rules.

The training is delivered over 1 day and includes:

a theory part,
practical classes,
a final exam.

At least 18 years of age
A valid ID card or passport
Basic physical fitness allowing operation of the device
Work footwear recommended during the practical part

The course and exam are available in the following languages: Polish, English, Dutch, Romanian, Lithuanian, Slovak, Czech, Bulgarian, Hungarian, German, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, Croatian, French, Ukrainian, Greek, Italian.
