The 1-day IPAF 3A & 3B course is an intensive training programme that combines theory, practical lift operation and an exam. Participants prepare to work with IPAF 3A scissor lifts and IPAF 3B telescopic and articulated boom lifts.
During the course, you learn the principles of safe working at height, how to identify hazards and prepare the equipment correctly, and then put this knowledge into practice during hands-on exercises. The full training programme and exam are completed in one day.
Theory
During the theory part, participants learn:- safe working at height,
- regulations for the use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs),
- hazard identification and risk assessment,
- the design and use of IPAF 3A and 3B category lifts,
- equipment inspection procedures before use,
- the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE),
- operator duties before starting and after finishing work,
- how to organise a safe work area,
- emergency procedures and how to respond to dangerous situations,
- topics that prepare participants for the IPAF exam.
Practical Training
During the practical part, participants learn how to:- carry out pre-use checks on the lift,
- operate IPAF 3A category scissor lifts,
- operate IPAF 3B category telescopic and articulated boom lifts,
- use personal protective equipment correctly,
- manoeuvre the equipment safely,
- position the work platform correctly,
- carry out work safely at height,
- respond to emergency situations,
- park and secure the equipment safely after use,
- apply the knowledge gained during practical work with the machines.
Exam
The course ends with:- a theory exam,
- a practical exam.
The training takes 1 day and includes:
- theory,
- practical training,
- theory exam,
- practical exam.
- at least 18 years old,
- a valid ID card or passport,
- a suitable level of health and fitness to take part safely in the practical training,
- appropriate work clothing and safety footwear.
Participants should bring the required personal protective equipment (PPE). If they do not have their own equipment, the necessary PPE can be rented from Bonapi for an additional fee in line with the current price list.

Szkolenie kończy się egzaminem teoretycznym oraz praktycznym. Warunkiem ukończenia kursu jest pozytywne zaliczenie obu części egzaminu.
Karta IPAF PAL nie jest zawarta w cenie szkolenia. Po pozytywnym zaliczeniu egzaminu można zamówić ją dodatkowo za opłatą zgodną z aktualnym cennikiem.

No. Beginners can also take the course. However, keep in mind that this is an intensive 1-day training programme. If you would like more time for practical training, we recommend the 2-day option.

No. The PAL Card is not included in the course price. After passing the exam, you can order it separately for an additional fee in line with the current price list.
The standard validity period of an IPAF PAL Card is 5 years. The card is optional and is not automatically included in the course price.
Both courses cover IPAF 3A and 3B categories. The 1-day course is more intensive, while the 2-day option gives you more time for practical training and to become familiar with operating the machines.
The course takes place at the Bonapi Training Centre in Gliwice, at ul. Św. Urbana 16.
