The course programme has been designed for beginners and for participants who want to broaden their professional skills to include operating several types of warehouse device.

During the training, participants learn the rules of safe work, the daily technical inspection of the equipment and the practical operation of trucks used in warehouses and logistics centres.


Theory part

During the training, the participant learns:

  • the construction and types of forklifts used in warehouse logistics,
  • the safety rules for operator work,
  • the procedures for technical inspection before starting work,
  • operating the counterbalance forklift,
  • operating the high-bay reach truck,
  • operating the electric pallet truck (EPT),
  • the rules for the transport and storage of loads,
  • the organisation of work in the warehouse space,
  • the operator’s duties before starting and after finishing work,
  • the exam requirements and the key theory topics.

Practical part

During the practical classes, the participant learns:

  • how to operate the counterbalance forklift safely,
  • how to work on the reach truck,
  • how to operate the electric pallet truck (EPT),
  • how to manoeuvre in a confined warehouse space,
  • how to transport and store loads,
  • how to work with a load at height,
  • how to carry out daily operator activities,
  • how to maintain safety during loading and unloading,
  • how to improve driving technique and the precision of manoeuvres.

Exam

The training ends with:

  • a theory exam,
  • a practical exam.

  • Final exam after the training

  • At least 18 years of age
  • A valid ID card or passport
  • Comfortable work clothing
  • Protective footwear recommended during the practical classes

The training ends with a theory and a practical exam. Obtaining the certificate is conditional on passing both exam parts.

At least 18 years of age and a valid identity document: ID card or passport.

The training is intended for people who want to gain qualifications to operate several types of warehouse truck and increase their employment opportunities in the logistics, warehouse and production sectors.

Training goal

The aim of the course is to prepare the participant for the safe and correct operation of the counterbalance forklift, the reach truck and the electric pallet truck (EPT) and to obtain an operator certificate.
