The training combines theoretical preparation with intensive learning of the practical operation of two types of warehouse truck.

The course covers exercises related to the operator’s daily work, the safe transport of goods, working in warehouse zones and carrying out manoeuvres that require precision and control of the vehicle.

Theory part

During the training, the participant learns:

the health and safety regulations and the rules of operator work organisation,
the construction and characteristics of the counterbalance forklift and the reach truck,
the procedures for technical inspection before starting work,
the rules for the safe transport and storage of loads,
techniques for manoeuvring in the warehouse space,
the rules for operating the reach truck in narrow warehouse aisles,
the safe handling of loads at height,
topics related to truck stability and load balancing,
the operator’s duties before, during and after finishing work,
the exam requirements and the key theory topics.

Practical part

During the practical classes, the participant learns:

how to prepare the devices for work,
how to operate the counterbalance forklift,
how to operate the reach truck,
how to transport and set down loads safely,
how to work at high-bay racking,
how to manoeuvre in a confined warehouse space,
how to carry out the operator’s daily tasks in line with the safety rules,
how to improve the smoothness and precision of work using both devices.

Exam

The training ends with:

a theory exam,
a practical exam.

Comfortable work clothing and protective footwear recommended during the practical part
